Need a camper to put at a new lease but don't want to break the bank. What's your opinion?
Probably would only use it for deer lease.

have you thought about a used hard-sided camper? I'd bet you can get one for about the same price as a new popup and it will be a hell of a lot more comfortable....

Yea I've been looking at used everything including pop ups. Problem is most of the ones I have found in my price range are either fema or need work.
And honestly I'm pretty clueless on campers but need one for this lease.

If you are parking it for weeks/months at a time definitely do not get a popup.
I own one and it's great for weekend trips/vacations and saves on gas, but Popups often cost as much as cheap hard sided ones so it makes much more sense to get a hard sized one if you plan to park it and not travel with it much.

Yea I'd probably park it at the lease for hunting season then bring it home when season is over.

When I bought my land, my aunt gave me a popup to use as a camp. It is hard to keep warm with canvas walls. It leaked and needed a tarp. It was even harder to keep pests out.
PSA-Do not let your son (or anyone) make a PBJ samich without making sure they closed the peanut butter. Two weeks later I came back to a rats nest from hell. I built a little shack the second season.
If it is a lease, get a cheap hardside camper.

I used a 1970's model pop up at my old lease for a camp. It worked perfect for what I needed as it was typically just me and an occasional buddy who stayed in it. However I did end up building a lean to roof over it to keep it out of the elements. Used the large Mr. Buddy heater and it kept it nice and warm.

Get a travel trailer that is used. I wouldn't get anything older than 5-6 yrs bc you just don't know how well the previous owner took care of it...especially the vinyl and roof maintenance.
