This is an extremely rare incident. Otters are not known to be aggressive toward people.

What the hell does this have to do with snake bites?

Cool story though. I bet that bastard was doing laps around mow mow's head.

Here's the thing. You don't have to allow venomous snakes in your yard or where children are likely to be. But, why are y'all so scared of them, really? Do you kill all the bears you see when you visit the smokies? No, you just respect that they can frick you up, and leave them alone. Then you go show your friends the cool photo you got of the bear. I don't understand the snake difference. I suspect it's just because it's been ingrained into you and you refuse to think any other way.

Can't remember the last time my four year old almost stepped on a fricking bear.

So Teague...are you mad about people killing snakes or people who kill snakes and then post them on the internet because they are attention whores?

Also: "We all still love dogs." is not exactly a true statement..."All" being a very inclusive word does not take into account the multitudes of folks who would like to cause the extinction of Pit Bulls. I'm not a supporter of Pits...but I don't believe any breed should be killed off just because of either bad breeding or bad handling. If that were the case..there'd probably be a lot more executions of humans in America due to the same.

Based on logic such as this, you should definitely go around shooting pit bulls, as they are exponentially more dangerous to children than snakes.

My first thought was to open the door and let him out. But, then my snake hate took over and I pinned him down and chopped his head off.

Thank you for your service, kind sir!

If a pitbull finds its way onto my land it will be shot on sight. By the same logic, indeed. Beyond that scenario, you make no sense.

No, folks that say "all snakes should die" based on the logic that one "could" injure a child make no sense. Far more children are harmed from dogs, other children, mosquitos, choking on hotdogs, and dumbasses leaving them in cars. I've said before that if someone wants to go out to a pond, drink beer, and shoot snakes that's fine. Hell, that's fun. But doing so under the assumption you are protecting the health of a human is misguided and ignorant.

The better verse describing why we are born with the snake hate is......

quote:

Genesis 3:14King James Version (KJV)

14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and
dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

I don't know if Mr. No-shoulders once at shoulders, but it's very clear that he once had legs.

Then, there's this, from one of the books that didn't make it into the Bible. Can't find the link, but it's for real.

"And when man cometh upon thee, he shall loath and hate thee, such that he screameth like a wounded sheep, taking measures to killeth your arse with shovels, sticks, and rimfire rifles".

We gonna pick and choose which Bible verses to reference when arguing for the killing of snakes now?

I don't care which side of the "great snake hate" debate you're on, that is funny.
