I was introduced to Spyderco knives courtesy of this board. I now have about 25 of them. Good quality knives and they come out of the box sharp as hell.

just picked up a new 485 for edc that uses the m390. anxious to see how it holds an edge over my other s30v BMs

Nothing wrong with Kersaw or SOG but spyderco is a better knife. I say go with Delica or Endura to stay with in your budget. Para military 2 is another great knife but above your budget. Griptilian is a good one from benchmade but I still prefer the Para military 2.

I'll suggest a different type of "pocket knife," one that I'm partial to when not wearing dress clothes. This small, fixed blade knife from A.G. Russell is my favorite small game/squirrel skinning knife. Using the leather sheath, it carries especially well in the back pocket or cargo pockets. Sorry the pic's so big....
