10-4. Can't argue with that. I wouldn't want it mainly because it would piss me off to have to essentially sharpen two separate blades on the same blade.

My mini grip is getting on 8 years old I think. I looks horrible, but it's awesome. The grip is badass and the blade is badass as long as I don't let it get too dull. It's a bitch to sharpen if I clean 5-6 deer with it without sharpening.

Get a Kabar, you may have to get some cargo pants or something with bigger pockets, but at least you can say you carry a US knife

Mini grip is legit.
I also have a mini ritter. It's similar to the grip, just different blade shape and material. I agree with the whole straight blade as well fwiw.

My father collects knives. I should probably know more about knives than I do.

We have a cousin that makes knives also. Kermit Laurent

I have one like this from him that my father gave me.

I linked the RAT 1 because it's the closest in size to Tyger's old knife but I carry the smaller RAT 2 daily. Unbelievable knives for $30.

I'm definitely not a knife guy. Knives and hammers go in the same category in my mind.

A good knife is like a good hammer. You can make do with a shitty one, but life is so much better with a good one.

The tip broke off my Benchmade Stryker. I'm not really that mad because it was getting old and performed well for several years. Currently carrying a kershaw I have as a backup but I want to get another Benchmade.

Any recommendations?

I'd definitely send it back to Benchmade. Unless it was "abused" (as in used like a crowbar ), it has a lifetime warranty.

Heck, you can even send Benchmades back for free sharpening, for the life of the knife. Surely they'll make good on one that broke.

I've thought about doing that a few times. I think they also change the bushings in the handle.

They tune them up as needed. Whatever that means. Just got a barrage 581 back. Sharp as shite. Pay for postage on both ends. Great program.

I would honestly call Benchmade. You paid top dollar for a quality knife and a good company backing it up. See what they can do for you because I heard their customer service is incredible.
