Plumber baws: diy double vanity question

I'm jimmy riggin (def isn't up to code) a double vanity to a single water source and single drain. I'm concerned about drainage of the sinks and I am kind of at a dead in on deciding what to do to finish the project.
I have traps on both sink drains. However, I do not know how to tie in both drains to the singe drainage pipe that goes into the wall. I am worried about the water flowing into the drain instead of just going back n forth through the T I have attached to the single drainage pipe. I have a picture showing the two separate pieces of pipe coming from the back of the sink. Any help or ideas would be a big help.

So, you are installing a double sink where a single once was? I would think if you use the T and duplicate the P trap to it from both sinks you be fine.
The drain line looks small in the pic.

Yes exactly. All piping is 1 1/2 inch.

Being that you can't have fall from both sinks due to entering a Tee, I see what you're saying. May always be some water in that lateral section due to that...But as long as you have P traps under both fixtures, I don't see a problem. Unless a hair ball or something forms and just pushes back and forth without exiting the Tee.
I dunno...Not a plumber either, just my thoughts.

I would think that a Y would be better than a T but also not a plumber

I have a double sink in my kitchen and below one sink, the drain tees off to the other sink...below the tee, there is a single pee trap and then into the exit drain.
also, I do know that they make water valves with two outlets for just such situations.

Put double valves on each and glue a Y on the drain.

Hit up a plumber friend. He said 1 1/2 for two lav's is code in NOLA at least. You should be fine.

I was thinking a y too but couldn't find a damn y piece at Home Depot. Was thinking a y with two 45* pieces going downward into the y. Didn't know if that's over kill.

I would think a Y is for drainage and a T is for vents. Water flows down, air finds it's own way. JMO

That's a 2" PVC Double Wye with a cleanout in the middle hub. The black ring is sa 2" x 1&1/2" bushing...your outlet pipe is probably 1&1/2" so you won't need the bushing. Try a plumbing supply store like Coburn's or Southern Pipe.
Looking at your picture you will have to swing your p traps against the wall and possibly use an offset fitting like a 45* or 22* to get the drain pipe back as far as possible.

Use a y to a single p trap. If you have a double bowl kitchen sink look in there and repeat.

Not a plumber but this is how I've seen every double sink done.
One P trap coming out the wall and the sinks tie together with a Tee going into the single P trap.

I have a double sink in the kitchen with a disposal. So i bought he prepackaged kit from HD that just ran a straight pipe from the disposal to thebp trap of the other sink drain. I can't do that to the vanity bc of a drawers.

Thanks Bob this is exactly what I needed. I'm going to have to cut the pipe coming from the wall though bc it's a threaded male and they prob don't sell threaded Wye's.

Ok went to the store and the wye's are too long to fit behind the vanity.
My solution, help me here, is to put one single trap at the wall pipe. Have 90s coming off the sinks to pipes that will t into the trap. That sound ok?
