Our ranger doesn't lift all the way up on the pad till u get to 65-70. If you come out of the hole and stay trimmed down your boat will plow through the water like #1. 30mph is cruising speed, trimmed down on our 21' ranger with a 250 pro xs. There's a difference bt being on plane and actually up on the pad

Well, is it incorrect? It may not be "on pad" but it has certainly planed and will not be plowing at 30mph. If it is, you are doing something very wrong.

And an even bigger difference from sitting in the water with only buoyant force acting upward. Your strawman does nothing to prove your point.

Actually the faster you go all the way trimmed down the more the nose of the boat will drop and plow through the water

Not knowing how to use trim is another problem altogether. Do you spend a lot of time porpoising?
