Can't wait! The 15 Acres of jap millet is getting a nice big head on it for da ducks.

Deer plot recipe is:
Evolved Harvest= Megaplot down the middle. Top dressed and sides with 50lb bag of Buckmaster

Will have an area set off to the side for Mustard greens. They will pass on the mustard greens until they have eaten everything else. Mustard greens will be nice and big when it gets cold and then they will crush it.

Turnips in the megaplot will get REALLY REALLY big and then when it gets cold the deer crush the leaves and looks like celery stalks everywhere sticking out of the ground.

North Side of Ferriday so hopefully it drys up a little for Sunday

Have a safe weekend

buying our bulk wheat this weekend. Planting in 2 weeks. Found it locally for $45 per 55 gallon drum.

Our mix is wheat\oats\radish

We have a couple of fields we planted in sunn hemp and the deer have been hammering it. Gonna plant 3 newly cleared spots in sodbuster radish. Please excuse the ugly logo on this kids shirt.

Sodbusters will grow to 10-20" and 2-3 inches in diameter. Roots will go 6' and breakup hard pans in old pastures or land that has not been subsoiled.

The deer in SW Mississippi love the turnips as well...we wanted to try the Sunn Hemp, but last I could find it was still illegal where we're at

fyi: all the places ive hunted have produced according to this plan:
-get soil test
-find out necessary micro nutrient the soil is naturally defficient
-plant/supplement so miocro nutrient is supplied (hogs or deer)
= proffit
