If you compare a 1911 side-by-side with a Glock, you'll notice the Glock is 100 times more 2x4ish.
I respect Glocks, I just hate how Glock fanboys can't accept that there are other alternatives out there that are just as good reliability-wise, but better in the ergonomics department.
I love 1911s but I'm no 1911 fanboy. Mine has its place in my collection as a range and competition gun. If I'm going for a defensive handgun, my Beretta 92 or my Ruger SR9c or my Kahr CM9 or my Remington 870 will do the job just fine.
I feel no need for a Glock in my collection and don't think I'll ever own one. This shocks most people, especially Glock fanboys who get their panties in a wad over it.
But not to stray to far from the OP... Congrats on your new handgun. We need all the support for the second amendment we can get.
