Same way the people paying taxes on coastal restoration will be compensated for paying for land that they can't fish near

A big chunk gated off near myrtle grove is gated off due to 2 bowfishing operations constantly running through an area.

I have already seen bow fishing guides running charters this year. I know they do not lease the land. So they were running around some ones duck lease all night before they went hunting the next day.

Yea but it's got 2" of water on it right???

I mean an air boat is a boat and it can navigate in 2" of water.

I'm for gating more and more of it up. if its the main channel of a creek, river, bayou, designated and known stream then its public. but once you hit "canals" "back water" "marsh" or "tidal access areas" you're FKN trespassing and need to stay the hell out. This is pretty simple to understand. I have zero right to get off the beaten path in to or on to someone's canals, cuts, or ever changing marsh property.

Not that I've ever tried it, but I've heard firing warning shots will usually send them on their way

If this passed, all these ponds and tranoses would be opened up to anyone that wanted to go back there. So I could be duck or deer hunting and someone could come riding their boat and sit in my pond while I'm trying to hunt.

I understand the frustrations but land owners have rights. Just because water is there it isn't free.

Deer and ducks are "owned" by the state. Just because a deer wanders onto land that I own, it doesn't mean that you have the right to hunt and kill it; that goes for bass too.

i made a similar point in the thread on the OT yesterday..I dont have the strength to do this again today

When you hit a deer in your car (deer is state property) does the state pay for it or do you?

Your argument holds no water

Lmao WTF? State rights and citizen rights are no where near the same. If your "property" caused damage to someone else's property you very much are liable.

I just wanna fish guys.................. I could care less about your duck that has to be wrapped in 3 layers of bacon to taste good. Hell I'll even stay out during duck season, and not run mud motors. But the duck leases have all the good sight fishing and bass fishing locations blocked off and that just GRINDS MY GEARS.

I would call their bluff, if someone shoots a warning shot with no verbal warning. I really doubt someone is gonna murder over ducks
