I have someone coming give me an estimate for a patio cover. If possible
I would like your recommendations and input. I currently have a slab in place. I like the idea of an aluminum cover but would like wooden post. Must haves are a TV, electrical run for outlet and addition fans, potentially a cooking area.

Update
Estimate from creative patio, so far first class people. Showed up on time for estimate, had pictures and does quality work.

3" insulated cover (215 sq ft) gutters and down pipe.
Two 2x8 cypress beams with scroll cut ends
Two 7x7 solid cypress post
Fan beam,
Electrical for fan beam and TV
$4200

The company does everything besides actually build homes. If interested look at pictures and work on Facebook.
I will post pics of finished product which will be in 4-5 weeks approx

I'm interested in this as well. I'd like a patio extension but not sure how/what to do. I don't want anything cheap, nto sure if i wanted it tied into roof or what.

Just had my patio covered a few months ago. We were going to do aluminum b/c it looked somewhat better, but we opted to go with galvanized steel. The steel is more durable and cheaper. We covered approximately 20' x 26' and it costs us about $2300. I think they quoted me around $3500 for the aluminum.

It's similar to this, but larger

I wanted to tie ours into the roof, but they said that it would be much more expensive and could possibly leak. So we just tied it into the eave of house

Not sure if this is quite what you were looking for, but I just finished construction a few months ago. My back patio is 13x 28 and will eventually have a bar, drill, and some furniture. Its all pre wired for televisions and surround sound

I also have a 12x25 slab that I may eventually cover. Right now it serves for great storage for my ranger as well as a spot to grill etc.

And the opposite view

Very nice. The size space and the window and door are layout similar. Currently my home roof only past the window wall by about 4ft with the concrete going as far as yours. Currently I don't feel I have enough overhang to protect a TV and tired of pressure washing cement and damage the rain and sun do to patio furniture.
Thank you all for the feedback.

Saw that, figured I would leave that alone.
Figured it was a subtle brag.

basically the way his patio is, is how the back of my house is, goes straight across with a patio under roof, only mines is maybe 1/3ish of that size prolly about half the width, and mines only about 15ish feet deep if that. I need to figure out how to extend it outwards from that back house.

Attached or at least butted up to home. Back of home has no gutters so cover would need to receive roof run off.

I am building a home currently and designed it with an outdoor patio and brick fire place extending thru the roof. Its 400 sq and the extra cost was around 25k

I'm in the market for the same exact thing, I have an existing 10'x17' patio covered by the house roof, I just poured an 18'x18' patio extension and want to put a roof over it. I had them pour 6" deep footings on all the corners.

I was thinking something similar to this
