Thanks.
I lined the cabinets insert area with cement board and have already cooked on it twice. Got it up to 450 degrees on purpose just to be sure there was not an issue before I closed it in. The grill actually was not super hot to the touch on the bottom section that was in contact with the cement boards. Not even sure I needed to install the cement boards, but did anyway and they are staying.

How long did it take Creative to come out once you told them you wanted to move forward?

You going to stain?

About four weeks. Could possibly be shorter if you do not get insulated cover and of course depending the backlog of work.

I'm still unsure of what I will do with the wood. They recommended a commercial type stain should I decide to go that route. Right now I'm allowing wood to dry, it appeared to be a fresh cut when installed.

I'm getting 4" insulated

Is that the Adobe color?

Looks good Geaux. I got my estimate from them and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger. 12x22 cover and concrete.

What was the quote, and did you go 3" aluminum insulated? I am going to get a few quotes soon and get this done as well. ~12x22 looks to be what I want as well.

I'm going noninsulated because insulated would be overkill in my area. It's already shady so cooler no need for insulated. He did quote me on both though. It's aluminum...I wanna say 4" but you might be right on 3. Concrete framing pouring and finishing for 12x22 = 2200. Insulated 12x22 = 3850. Noninsulated 12x22 = 2600.

That's pretty expensive

I had a 20'x20' poured for $1800 and they poured 6" footings on the corners

Creative quoted me $6700 for 4" insulated aluminum, includes gutters and downspouts, (5) cypress posts, (2) cypress beams, fan beams and electrical for (2) fans

Well damn this changes things...

I have another estimate coming Thursday but maybe I need to consider subbing the slab. Who'd you have do your concrete? They form and finish?

I can recommend superior patio for the patio cover itself.

I was very pleased with their work

I paid 4300 for insulated 20x18 with 4" posts and gutters.

All the ones I priced were very very close

That's who is coming out Thursday. Diane go out to give you your estimate?

Starting to think getting someone to do my slab separate from my cover is a better deal.

Yeah Diane is the owner I believe

I also got them to pressure wash my house for an extra 150 or something like that. It's another service they offer.

They didn't do the concrete work as I had it poured a few years earlier.

Wow that's significant. I hope they come out cheaper for me. She called at 11 and said she was in my area and wanted to come early. She must have been leaving your place.
