Vs

I'm personally a fan of using the footrest cause it gives you more room to relax a bit. But it's a pain swapping back and forth due to transport from truck to tree because you have to flip the footrest back and forth.

What do you guys use?

I always use the footrest. Comfort is my number one objective in a tree

I use mine as a foot rest bow hunting and a rifle rest when gun hunting.

Don't like the plastic tube with no grip that you're hanging from. Had some bad experiences in a hackberry with one and just in general don't feel comfortable in them compared to a Summit

I use as a gun rest. I always pull my bottom up high enough to comfortably put my feet on. Fwiw I love that stand. It's been about 15 yrs and I haven't ever had a problem. Quiet to set up, super light, and plenty comfy.

Use as a footrest when bowhunting. My buddy swears by Summit Viper but I like my old man for bowhunting and Gunslinger 250 for rifle. They must have changed name of the company but stand is the same. Gunslinger 250

can't you install the foot rest upside down to use as a rifle rest as well?
