2007 Tahoe 193k miles. Was driving last night when I noticed my gauge was on 0, immediately pulled over. My engine didn't over heat and I checked my dip stick which showed it was full. Any insight to what this could be?

It probably won't take long for it to throw a code. My Yukon had the same issue at 110k - gauge read 0 but it still ran fine.

It's not super easy to change since it's at the back of the block right by the firewall but if you've got small hands you could probably get to it.

My 07 silverado just did the same thing. Like everyone is saying, it's the oil pressure sensor. $50 part at AutoZone. Change the filter that goes into the engine while you're at it

Should be very easy to check the sensor with an ohm meter, if you can get to the plug. Probably either the sensor or the gauge cluster. A hot engine will lock up very fast if it really does have zero oil pressure.

sensor went bad or sensor wire came undone.

if you had zero oil pressure the engine would start knocking and seize up in about 5 minutes.

obviously that didn't happen so its a problem with the sensor or sensor wire, and "maybe" its the gauge itself in the dash that is bad.

GMC has a big problem with the gauges. We had a Yukon 03? did the same thing. It wasn't the sensor it was the gauge. The was a fella in Kenner that used to fix them.(Acadian Speedometer 504-913-1716 Billy Bath). He fixed mine. He pulled the whole gauge cluster, I drove off and he called me an hour later.

Don't know if he's still in business.

2007 Yukon xl gauge cluster went out. No PRD321 or odometer showing up. If that is your issue, $119 to send it off to get repaired with lifetime warranty. YouTube has easy to follow videos. Mailed it in on a Thursday and was back to me on Wednesday. Circuit Board Medics.

My oil pressure gauge had gone to zero before the cluster went out. as well. Turns out a damn squirrel had chewed the wire and the sensor was fine.
