I'm just using some Loctite 242. I have a sling plate coming also.

Good luck, have you received shipping notification?

Cause I have not, and my CC was billed on 1/15/14.

Don't feel bad my card was charged on 1/02/14 and still haven't received my package. I ordered a P-TAC MOE lower build kit. I have ordered from them in the past and have never had to wait this long for a shipment. However on my previous orders i did not receive any shipping notifications either. Say what you want about Cheaper than Dirt but their shipping is top notch.

Makes me feel worse I'd be i-fricken-rate. Hell I'm almost there now and it's been a week.

So, what about my FFL lower? I'll just have to wait for the FFL to get it and call me up? Holy shite I hate PSA so much right now

Palmetto is a good company, they are just small operation and are very slow to fill and ship orders. I had much better service from Bravo Co. and JoeBob Outfitters. The problem is you almost have to order from whomever has what you want in stock at the time.

My gripe exactly. If they claim it is in stock, and I purchase it at that time, and they charge my CC that day, then they should ship the motherfricker that day, or at least provide some type of notification/answer a phone/etc.

They're small? BS. They have how many locations? They do how much online business? What they are is cheap. They know they can still sell and provide no customer service because of the demand. They show no care about the customers. They sure as shite are quick lightning to get the accounts receivable balance on their books, huh....

ETA: Broke, Sorry for making your thread a PSA bitchfest, I'm just really pissed off right now. /rant

Another word of advice is to be careful with the front pivot pin spring/detent as if it slips off your knife blade it will shoot across the room

This

I installed mine inside a 2 gallon zip lock bag to keep the detent close. It flew off at least twice.

Its not that bad...just takes a little bit of finess. I was way more uncomfortable driving the bolt catch roll pin and the trigger guard pin. They don't go in easy.

Their prices are some of the cheapest in the biz. I'm not necessarily trying to justify their absurd wait times but I mean you get what you pay for in both quality and customer service.

buy an armorer's wrench from Amazon. thats about all the special tools you need for a lower. For an upper you will need a cup point punch or a roll pin holder what ever they want to call it.

Just let me do it, I add character to the lower. Also I was only supposed to assist sweat on his build, but guess who ended up building it all?

also remember to put the hammer spring in the correct way. I had it backwards on one and the hammer didn't have enough force on the firing pin. Put the rifle together, went shoot and just went CLICK

I did this as well besides it only went click every 3rd or 4th shot or so. I would look at the primer and see that the firing pin hit it but not quite hard enough. Took me a while to figure out what was wrong.

Done. I'll let you know when the parts get here. From the looks of it we could be waiting a month or so. Also, where you live now?

I still live in Hammond, just north of SELU in that older subdivision. I need to put one together anyways.

Just making sure. I can take a drive. We should blow up that Tannerite I bought while I'm there.
