Would I need a new upper or just a new barrel?
Thanks

You need one of everything.

J/K - depends on a variety of things - even if you can rebarrel it to legal length, I'm going to recommend you leave that pistol upper alone and get/build a new upper for the rifle configuration.

Not sure how I could actuate this without moving my hand. Maybe if you have basketball player thumbs? I don’t get the problem it is trying to solve.

Dont know that there is a problem, maybe just something different? IDK...dont know how I feel about it. Being used to the standard style on a AR...but I sure am used to a button style on some of my other rifles and shotguns.

I don’t see why anyone would ever want that over the standard style

Does anyone any experience with Leapers UTG Pro rails for a budget build? They seem to have decent reviews.

Yea I love those for the weight and all but the color combo bothers me I'd want to coat it all black...or the same color at least. I do want doe...5lbs of goodness.

SIG uses them on their M400 Elite. UTG still has that lingering chinese airsoft/garbage rep, but the ones I've seen on the SIGs had good clean machining, solid feel and good finish. No experience on using one though.

I don't mind the differing colors, they're going for the "we don't care about aesthetics, just performance" look. But for god sake's man, that black dust cover is driving me nuts.

For that price or maybe a moderate amount more you could get a Midwest Industries rail, and those are for sure quality.

What optic are you putting on it? They always showcase EOTechs, but I'd throw a T1/2 on there to keep the sleek and light profile.

T2. Since they weren't open for 2 years at the time of SHOT, they werent allowed to have their own booth, so they shared with EOTech. That's why they pimp them.
