Quad rails are cheese graters and will destroy your hand. Also, they are thicker. Keymod and MLOK are direct attach, thinner, and smooth so they won't hurt. Check BCM as well for uppers. Aero is a great company though so there is no issue with the one you listed.
Quad rails were designed to be used with covers. The real problem with quad rails is their weight. If you're shooting a Qual rail without covers you're doing it wrong.

Problem for me isnt even the weight. Problem is thickness. I shoot thumb over bore and quad rails are sometimes too thick (only gun I have enjoyed to shoot thumb over bore that was quad rail was a mk18 clone). Also, covers add thickness.

I guess I always look at ARs from a combat perspective. Weight is the big factor in combat and thumb over bore is impractical for most combat situations. It's probably better for 3 gun type shooting though.

It's all how you train. It's not impractical at all if you are proficient

Its really tiring after about 5 minutes carrying a rifle like that with your extended as far as you can get it down the barrel.

If I do sell the bolt gun and get a seekins rifle, it will be painted like this or with a white, light gray, dark gray pattern

That does look pretty cool. One thing I don't understand about these "battle worn" cerakote jobs is why everyone makes the inside radii of the raised areas the 'worn' part and the surrounding flat surfaces and tops of ledges are fine. These would be the last places to be rubbed away as they are the most protected. The rifle above is a prime example.
Also, I was telling ChatRabbit the other day, only in the AR community would you find guys who can be so anal about the slightest pin prick in the anodizing of their rifles...and then go pay someone a few hundred to make it look beat to shite.

Best is still Arsenal Democracy imo when it comes to battleworn.

I'm with you. I've never much cared for anything that much. I understand it's going to get beat up and scrstched, that's the main reason I don't mind used gear.
I just like the paint job. I have a picture of the other color combo. Just can't get it to upload for some reason.

My ar has been through a couple classes. That's why they make krylon right?
I'm just digging the seekins rifle for some reason. Probably won't have it done cause I'm cheap, but it still looks cool.

You don't like it. We get it. No need to be a jackass about what other people like.

Relax, it was a joke. It's not like I called it the Jason Aldean of rifles or anything.

I've only fingered them as they come in for folks. However, it's the second most talked about rifle on the OB. Second only to the M&P 15 Sport and mentioned only a "See U Next Tuesday" hair more than the Tikka T3. If you go back to the OB and click the 'search' button at the top left of the page you can type in 'AR556'. Once you submit you will have more than enough post to keep you busy reading the OB's opinion all night.
SPOILER ALERT: The OB thinks highly of them.
