I looked at a couple magpul ones that were comparable and found out that you had to pay another 20 bucks or so for a quick detach socket.

I am not an buis expert by any means. I love my Aimpoints and magnified scopes. However, I have had a few sets of Magpul buis and I don't remember nome of them being QD. All were flathead screwed on.
I have QD scope mounts and red dot bases but none for my buis. I have never seen the need to take them off in a hurry, it's usually the other way around.

My bad, should have specified, I was referring to the stock.
You have to buy one of these to attach your sling, and I figured for the same price I can get the VLTOR one with one already on it.
Hopefully it doesnt pull at my beard too much.

I was actually trying to find magpul BUIS but couldn't get any in stock anywhere, and I kind of need it for a pig kill next weekend.
Ill eventually put a trijicon acog on it when I have the funds.

UBR's come with 2 QD sockets, cant speak for any other magpul ones though.

Well that makes a lot more sense once you put it that way. I have no idea what the UBR does or does not come with. It's free so I ain't complaining. If your local, we can meet up to see the pros and cons. No buffalo bill type shite.
I heard that Jims had some for a good price the other day and Midway usually has a good stock too. I don't imagine that you need it now but for future reference.

I hav 3 PMAGs that wount "click" into the lower unless I use a good amount of force and pull the mag towards me a bit. Is it likely because the mags are messed up or do RRA SLs have that problem?
When I got the 3 mags all of them had scratching and slashes on them.
I have more mags set to arrive soon so I will test those out first before I contact any company about the problem. Just figured I'd ask you guys first.

must just have been a bad batch... My PMAG slaps in easier than the DPMS ones that came with it. and the KCI 100 does as well

I did build it myself but the mag release is insanely easy to put together...
