I do as well. I never liked the stretched out feeling with the grip down the barrel.

If you hold your AR by the magwel, it's going to blow up and blow your fingers off. Is that what you want?

This was told to me by a friend who just bought the best AR made (according to him), a Bushmaster. He also had a grip that turned into an incredibly shaky bipod and a AFG. He said both were necessary for different situations. He did have some nice optics though, some walmart special red dot (explains the need for the bipod).

Moral of the story? I'm still pissed about Botach and will bitch about anything.

That's why you are the parts finder, not advice giver.

I can't even enjoy Family Guy tonight. DSG may have the ability to bring me happiness again or give up hope on humanity.

I am very appreciative of the support that I have gotten from the OB. They have helped me through this.

Muscona broke that on his show earlier. That being said am I the only one who was trained not to grip the mag well or rest the rifle on the magazine? One sould think the possibility of a blowout from a squib round would put those magazine well grips in the do not add category.

My LPK with FDE magpul furniture from Palmetto shipped already. 2 days is much better than the 2 weeks it took my last order from them to ship.

Resting the rifle on the magazine could result in some sort of feed malfunction, but its never happened to me, and over half the guys in my unit in Iraq rolled with griping the magazine weld. Its comfortable and its pretty stable and it works.
