I like MBUS a lot. I've also heard good things about Troy, but they're hard to come by right now.

With optics you basically get what you pay for, it's a linear progression. Have to ask yourself what you really want them for. If you're just going to mess around with it, then Wal Mart is your friend.

I have probably shot less than 100 rounds through irons on an AR. Just does nothing for me.

Probably millions of rounds through 10/22 irons though.

I actually prefer iron sights over holographics. Probably because that's what I learned on and it's what I'm more comfortable with.

Optics are really good for fast target acquisition, though and I prefer them in close range. But if I'm shooting at anything beyond maybe 25 meters with no magnification I'd rather use iron sights.

yeah, i'll see about sights, take my time with optics. Really don't feel like dropping $250 or so for good folding sights.

I know what you mean. I liked MBUS but went with Troy. MBUS are going to be about half Troys price wise. I saw that both were in stock at places on Amazon when I was looking last week.

I got a Bushnell TRS-25 after debating PrimaryArms vs Bushnell (20% rebate offer had an affect on my decision). I'm waiting for the PA magnifier mount to come back in stock and then get a 3X magnifier.

I just cant bring myself to buy a gun online. I like to hold it and caress it before buying it. I like to take it for a test drive.

I do exactly what you described at Jims. Then save at least 10% by buying online.

I got the XDs From SGC USA in Arizona. They have some absurd gun deals on occasion. I posted it the day it happened. Nobody bit on the OB. Usually you have a couple of hours...now you probably have minutes.

f you have FB search Whittaker guns in kentucky they have some pretty good gun and mag deals. They will not ship ammo. They do phone releases of guns sometimes around 4:00pm.
