Sums it up pretty well.
"Which of these drugs would be best in this situation?"
A. A drug that was used over 50 years ago and almost never used today.
B. A drug that's still in the experimental stages.
C. A drug in the wrong class
D. A drug you've never heard of.

Excuse me nurse, I am likely not going to make it. My doc tells me I need to be on hospice and I have never felt a set of fake breasts. As yours are obviously real and perfect, could you recommend someone that might be willing to help me out?
Would not fly with the wife around me 99% of the time.
Oh, I'm still here! Still waiting for the drug company to bring my portable IV pumps and Meds.

I feel your pain. Both times I was discharged, I had to wait around all damn day knowing full well I was gonna be discharged that day.
The 2nd discharge, I don't get out til about 9 that night.

Half the time I have to wait for the doctors to write the discharge orders even though they tell me a few hours before hand.

A or D as long as A does not produce a SE the pt is likely to have.

I would always put the one I never heard of and it would always be wrong.

Damn it man. You can't put C as something obviously wrong. That's the go to answer when you don't know.

I haven't had a panic attack yet, but I think I probably should soon. I take it in four weeks.

Mrs. TheLastCoco sits for it on 6/12. She is battling, that's for sure. And I lost count of the panic attacks. She just took her first practice one and did fine, so that should help for the time being.

Yellerhammer,
I'm gonna tell you this in hopes that it might give you some comfort/relief in the future, despite the fact that it will probably only add to your current stress:
I would have thrown up in the parking lot when i finished Step 1 had been able to eat anything all day. I thought it was both the most difficult and most unfair test I had ever taken. Still do. It literally made me sick thinking my residencies hopes were about to be limited to pathology in North Dakota.
But, lo and behold, somehow, I smashed that bastard.
So if you find yourself in the middle of that test reading each question and thinking to yourself "we'll f@ck me sideways", dont panic. Just keep your nose to grindstone and push through.
