Making my first trip home to Baton Rouge area in April in a few years. My 6 year old daughter would like to go fishing.

Any recommendations for some basic catfish holes where I can pay a few bucks and entertain my daughter for a few hours? I guess I could always hit up the LSU lakes or something like that with cane pole, but I'm looking for something a little more structured since I won't be traveling with any equipment.

Thanks.

Levee by the USS Kidd. It's free. May catch a monster.

BREC park, Perkins at Kenilworth.

If she gets tired of wetting a line, there is a playground area with tons of stuff to do.

Also, pack her bike. There is a badarse concrete skate/bike/scooter area.

All three areas are within 100 yards of one another.
