Fished Lake D'arbonne M-W this week with decent (12-15 per day) numbers and a few 3-5 lb's.
Water temp 58 degrees, the cold snap hurt us Wed.
Best bait was a black and blue Senko on grass flats and around buck brush in 4-7 ft. Fish Slow
Should be really on in a couple of weeks

This snap has me thinking I better not go and save my time/energy for when it's over.

Went last Saturday. My best technique was throwing a green/red/yellow spinnerbait, willow blade, getting a horrendous backlash that I had to cut out and then while bringing in the line by hand catch a fish. Caught 2 that way. Six total. They ate very nice.

Finally caught one on Cross yesterday afternoon. I'm dialed in for the BOSS tournament tomorrow.

The D'arbonne pads should be on before too long.
Tough to fish 'em, but damn they produce like no other.
Caney, D'arboone, Bruin, The Rez, Poverty. God I'm ready for this year.
Got a 4 day trip to Toledo planned in March with pops. He's turning 60. Can't wait. First time we've ever fished Toledo.

There was a couple of big ones caught on D'Arbonne this week. This should be an awesome spring since it's been 5 years since the draw down.

Went to Caney today. Caught 2. One was on a jerkbait in12 ft, another on a rattle trap in about 5 ft. Used to fish this lake all the time. Guess my old holes ain't what they used to be. Water was around 55 degrees. Headed to the Bend tomorrow.

Staying in the North Toledo Bend state park cabins. March 10-13.
Just got hummingbird down imaging on my boat. Thinking about getting some navionics as well.
I'll hit you up closer to the date.
Thanks.
