I'm assuming water is still muddy. So my list is:
Spinnerbait with big colorados
Rattling squarebill ( chartreuse black back)
Flip a black and blue/black and red beaver
Junebug or watermelon red speed craw on 3/16 oz weight, Texas rigged
I'm heading that way right after work today to fish tomorrow. This is pretty much exactly what I have rigged up on my rods. Will post results (only if they are good )

Good luck, I'll be there Sunday

My brother is already there. Said he watched someone catch a 9 lber about 50 yards from where he was fishing. Said the water is just a little muddy. Not too bad. He caught a few.

That's what im worried about!

Dont worry about the Oilmans. It has half the entries as last year.

My brother in law fished it. Said someone caught 9lbers in one sack

Nice. There will be some big bags
I fished it last year, somewhere between 800-900 boats. The winners were out deep cranking.
We fished San Pat and San Mig, did alright on day 1 but couldnt find any size on day 2. Same conditions, cool with high water. Just frustrating because you could see them swirling back in the timber but couldnt get to them.

Meant to say he had 2 - 9lbers in one sack. Damn autocorrect. I'm on baby duty or would be fishing the V&M tourney this weekend

How y'all doing out there, rballa? My uncle and I wanted to thank you again for the help on our trip, especially being that it was brought to an abrupt halt for a family emergency. Good luck, buddy

My dad called me today and told me the are starting to catch crappie off the docks in our neighborhood. Naturally, I can't go anytime soon.

My cousin has a camp farther toward the back of Sab Miguel and he sent us a picture of two slabs(crappie) him and his son caught a couple days ago off their dock.

Had an invite to go this weekend but my Son has a base ball tourney. What is the water temp right now?
Posted on 3/18/16 at 6:52 pm to cbr900racer22
No idea. Cadello should have a report for us this evening sometime.

Rballa you fishing the V&M tourney?
Posted on 3/18/16 at 7:10 pm to LSUdude3756
No man, I wish. Told the ol lady I'd watch the baby tomorrow. Be there Sunday through Wednesday
Posted on 3/18/16 at 8:32 pm to rballa19
Our dock is messed up from the high water.

Caught 18 keepers. Fished Housen. Oilmans make finding good spots a little harder. Big fish was 6.3 caught in wacky worm. I caught my first 4 on a black red speed craw running it on the top in the grass. Also caught 2 more on top with a swimming fluke. The rest were caught on Junebug red speed worm and green pumpkin red speed craw.
Boat pulled up right behind us and a lady caught a 10.03.
We pulled into the grass flats and was about double casting distance and this guy tells us we cut him off. Words were exchanged then my buddy says his power pole was down so not sure how we cut him off. My buddy is more the "ill whip your arse" type, I'm more the " hey make love not war" type. But I do carry a gun at all times in case war is inevitable.
Got up at 2:30 because my buddy is nuts and same tomorrow. Once Oilmens ends parking should be easier. Good luck.
