Well, after the flood the two trailers that I was using are no longer available. I want a small trailer to haul things around town with. I still have access to a car hauler and a 20' pipe trailer for tractors.

Mike Geralds is closed due to flood. Truck and Trailer World did have the exact trailer I was looking for:

6'x12' Load Trail
Tube top rails
3500# axle
15" rims with radial tires
LED lights
Spare mount
Heavy duty ramp
Powder coated frame and rails

$1,349

Is this a good deal? What other brands should I look at? I want to stay this size to keep it handy.

I think that's a pretty good price. I bought a pro pull 6x12 all angle awhile back for $1200ish. That's a nicer trailer than mine, I think your right there.

Seems pretty good to me. Paid $810 for my 5X8 ProPull back in 2007 without many of your upgrades. Been happy with it, though.

While we're on this subject, what is the advantage of the tube rails?

I'm in the market myself and I noticed what seems to a price jump when you switch from angle railing to tubes. When you say "tubes", I assume you mean pipe and not square tube, right?

I think that is a pretty good price. I just priced a 5 x 14' earlier this year with all the same specs and it was around $1500. They kill you on the spare, taxes, and fees.

I ended up finding a used 6.5x10' for $800 so I bought it... Cost me about $160 just to transfer the title. On used trailers the lifetime plates are non-transferable.

I will tell you that a 12' trailer isn't quite long enough to haul 2 Hunting ATV's back to back if they have a rack on them... That's why I was looking at the 14'.

I paid around the same for a BigTex similar to that one.

Instead of cutting angle square and welding it you have to cope the ends of the pipe, pipe cost more but it's stronger. The added fab time and cost of pipe adds to the cost. They look better and are stronger

I did not set out looking for LED lights, and other small upgrades, but its only $150 more than a stripped trailer. Also, the stripped trailer only has 13" rims and is angle iron.

Tube means square to me. Its much more rigid. I can flex a angle iron top by picking up on it. The tube top is stout.

20' pipe trailer for multiple ATVs.

Makes zero difference with a 3500# axle under it.

If you can find me those upgrades with the angle iron top, I'll buy it.

I do want to add, I am driving to Lake Charles this weekend. What other places should I stop and look at between BR and there?

I recently bought a 7x14 tandem axle from Delta Trailer Sales in Carencro. Couldn't find any place around BR open on the weekend. Made the drive over there and glad I did. They carry Tiger and Pro Pull Trailers.

Was just about to post this as well. Would be worth the drive to save a couple hundred bucks.
