New Magazine Issue SW MP 9

Recently bought a new SW MP 9. Came with 2 mags. I cannot for the life of me get more then 6 rounds into the mag even though the mag is an 8+1 mag. any suggestions? Will the springs break in eventually and be easier to load.

Most new pistol mags are hard to get the last couple of rounds in. Keep working them and they will loosen up some.

take the base plate off and see if there's an extra follower in there. Both of my mags that came with my shield had that "problem". It was clearly a mistake but I love getting free extra parts.

You should've specified that it's a Shield. I saw "6 rounds" and know the factory full size mags should fit 17. I was like wtf?
The mag springs will loosen up after being loaded and unloaded a lot. Contrary to popular belief, mag springs actually weaken from being compressed and uncompressed rather than from simply being compressed.

I just bought the same gun and fit all 8 in the mag. Stop being a girl and push harder...Kidding. It was difficult but they do fit. It will go in right when you think your thumb is about to explode.

Thats the point I was at last night. My wife and daughter kept asking why I was cussing so much on the patio. COuld not for the life of me get past 6 in the mag.

I got my shield a few weeks ago and felt like a wuss trying to get the rounds in...and of course Les at BP had to suggest the mag loader for the 5th time
