Where are the ducks in NELA? Not seeing to much in Ouachita Parish.

From most reports I'm getting they are scarce from Desha County south to at least Catahoula. I'm hearing a few areas having decent shoots, but overall not many.

Neighbor across the street brought home a 4 man limit on Saturday. I saw a bunch from the deerstand that same day.

Hoping this weather and front will mix them up a little.

Y'all ever hear of The Bartholomew Club? Our sales guys are making a trip up there in January and just asked me about it.

Yes. Rice field hunting in northern Morehouse parish. Can be great, can be so/so.

Good place. Hunted there many times, even back before the paid hunts. Tell Wyatt you want to hunt in the East or West blind. Don't let him gar-hole you.

They always kill ducks. They have a large deep reservoir on the property they don't hunt that holds thousands of ducks all the time.

Our blind is between Bonita and Jones and ducks have been thin. Good bit of high flyers and lots of geese. May be a water issue?

Some friends are hunting in Lake Village just north of you and said the same thing. They have killed a couple 4 man limits of mallards the last couple of weeks but they've really been hammering the speckle bellies. Another group that hunts off 52 has had a lot of slow days.

Good luck. We've been hunting the Gueydan area since opening day and I dont think we've seen 500 ducks all year.
