Bought a Lowrance Elite 5 today with the navionics card. Went to update it on the computer and its saying "Oops, you've hit a snag this card is not supported". Anyone else have this problem and what did you do about it?

Thanks

Update: I called Navionics last week and they said the card Bass Pro sold me was outdated and from last June. They are mailing me a new one for free and it should be here today. I'll update when I get it and it downloads/works. Overall Navionics was very polite and helpful.

Which card?

Did you read somewhere that the card was "updateable"?

I don't the answer, but to my knowledge, most cards aren't meant to be updated.

How's the existing map look? and where do you fish most?

I don't have a good answer here but I do know that my tournament partner has Lowrance stuff and has had lots of problems with the Navionics cards. Call Navionics and see what they say.

I did the same thing. The card that came with mine was already programmed with lakes in the Northern US and you couldn't change it. So basically it's worthless to me.

I'm def interested. Do you have them for the NW FL area (Seminole, talquin, etc)?

To those asking I don't know what card it is it comes with the buddle at bass pro and you go online to download your area.

no man just made them of the marsh and coastal areas of louisiana. theres a you tube video on how to make them yourself. search how to make maps for hds, they will work on elite hdi and chirp as well.
