The dudes always bring a huge knife and the girl is using it in the end. No guy has made fire yet and that one girl saved their arse with that pot.

I would ask for urine purifying pills, at least I'd have something to drink the first day until I found water.
Seriously I'd bring a survival knife with matches, thread, needle, and wire in the handle.

Sorry, stand corrected, that guy in Africa did make fire but didn't they have a fire striker or something as a bring along? Doesn't count if you bring a zippo for your item, really?
I would bring a survival knife w fire striker if allowed and hope the gal would bring a pot. The pot or fire striker is worth more than the knife so far.

Which is why I dont know why they call them "experts." My 6 yr old daughter knows not to drink random water in a creek.

Ok so what would y'all do with 6 months forewarning of environment you would be dumped in?
I would:
Harden feet and hands by increasing calluses through daily abrasion and micro trauma.
Tan daily until darker than Will Smith
Grow out beard, body hair, and head hair to shoulder length to provide sun protection and bug protection .
Increase cardiovascular endurance
Increase grip strength
Vaccinate against endemic illnesses
Learn native species of edible and poisonous flora and fauna of the environment I am going to.
What one item (must be sold as a single item and must be a single item even if made of several parts but may not be items contained inside another item like a "Rambo knife") would you chose for:
Louisiana swamp?
I think something like this
hand guard to protect knuckles, saw back for cutting large pieces of wood more easily and for lifting wire handles on pots, long blade that can be re sharpened if needed, length of blade also allows you to manipulate items in a fire without getting burned.

I think he did eventually, but he was a complete bitch about it. If I was her I wouldnt have given that dude any of the lobster. Then he acts like he's all badass for killing a 6" long caiman.
