My Experience with Online CCL Course

You'll see promoted an online Concealed Carry Course (site is ConcealedOnline.com) licensed in Virginia but with reciprocating rights throughout much of the U.S., and after fingerprints are received, issued in a much faster manner that what is happening here in Louisiana. Sounds perfect if you're struggling to find the time to get your CCL.
Somebody told me about the site and how great it was, so I gave it a shot. Apparently, here in Louisiana, you still have to have a CCL issued by the State of Louisiana. You can use the Virginia issued permit in those other states, it's just not good here in Louisiana.
You have to really dig to find this information on their site, and it's my fault for skimming over everything without fully digesting what I was reading until after I had paid and took the online course. The company will not give you a full refund even if you call them immediately.
Please don't make the same mistake as I. There are too many good instructors here in Louisiana and they'll always be there for you.

If you would have asked here first we would have told you this sorcery wouldn't work.

If I recall correctly he did post here first and I believe a lot of the posters said that it either would not work or that they would not try it.

I looked at his post history. Nothing like that shows up.

No, I have not posted on this topic previously. Just a cautionary tale for those who may see their advertising and think like I. I'm going to just make the time to take a class locally and wait it out like everyone else.
Hate to wait 4-6 months for my CCL to show up, especially with the current climate and the fact I work in a lot of sketchy areas.

It should, though.
I'm not against anyone's making a living and I respect others' opinions, but the way we do it here is bullshite.
We have taken the "shall issue" clause to a illogical and foolish extreme.
The only requirement we lack is the ability to speak a foreign language and simultaneously perform a magic trick while riding a unicycle.

Agreed. And the obstacle to getting Constitutional Carry passed in Louisiana will be the money involved in CCL classes and permitting.

This is the thread you're remembering -- not the OP.
