After I got a dog I was pretty amazed that they take 75% of the same medicines as regular people. I think my dog is 5 and I have only had a vet tell me to get people stuff once. Highway robbery

Yep. That's why it's awesome to have the same vet your dad used when he was in college.

Although he obviously is less qualified than biff

Well glad the dog is ok. If it was a snake bite the swelling should subside by the weekend. If not your vet may have been wrong. Don't get caught up in how long they have practiced and where they went to school. I have seen Cornell bet grads incorrectly diagnose shite and older vets tend to think they have seen it all and refuse to stray from the norm because its outside their comfort zone. Has you dog ever been bitten before?

I wouldn't feel bad about taking her in to be checked. Atleast it was only 60 bucks. I guess Biff didnt want to discuss his BA in BS he got from LSU.

Out in Sacramento my son's two daschounds were both bitten by rattlesnakes right on their snouts. Their noses swelled to 3 times original girth. They laid around the yard for about 2 weeks and healed on their own. Dogs are pretty tough.

Tell your dad he owes you the money since he wouldn't let you pop it, even if you had no intention of doing it anyway...pussy

Glad to hear it all worked out ok. I'd have never thought it was a snake this time of year.

Not sure if you are referring to me or not, but this was my post, and if you think that was acting like a dick?????

If it's cancer, she's good as dead right?

Not really, depends on lots of factors, mine had a mast cell tumor (cancer) cut out of her 5 years ago and has done just fine until last month when a complete and unrelated soft tissue tumor showed up, got that one cut out and hoping or the best but also realize she is 10 years old.

If it grew that fast it's an abscess. I think tumors would take longer to go from grape sized to grapefruit sized.

Unfortunately some cancer tumors can grow that rapidly, I would almost suspect cancer in this case, but maybe it is just because 2/3 bumps on my dog have been cancer

I guess his liberal arts degree would've caused too much ridicule.
