Honestly, looks like a man just took his kids way out exploring, daughter looks pissed
Not the smartest thing to do during hunting season obviously.

Never had a run in with this issue, but they don't strike me as the type to be poaching.

Y'all may be right and to me they are shooting squirrels not deer. They are at the very lease trespassing during deer season on the holidays.
Looks like they have .22s and yes a pissed off daughter.
They would have to jump a gate to get on our lease. This wasn't by accident. They shouldn't be there no matter what. They are on a 40x40 yard ring levee. They are 25 yards from my stand and walking to it. They know there are in the wrong area. They can only walk another 10 yards before they are in knee deep water.
Again, they jumped a gate, walked past 1 stand on the levee then .5 miles down a road only wide enough for a 4 wheeler and veered off on my little high ground. Walked past all my feeders, rice bran pile and stand.
If they had camo and hip boots, I could see if they wandered on our block looking for a wounded deer, this isn't the same. They look to be enjoying some family time at my hunting expense. Had a buck roll through here Tuesday morning 8am

Some kind of bag - tool, lunch or all his squirrels. The top looks like a bag for a cordless drill. My dewalt bag closes to a point like that

Pickle - I swear that's not me. I know your uncle well. Spent some nights at the camp that burnt.

Your wife/facebook will have them sniffed out in no time.

I'm amazed that they didn't find and destroy your camera.

I've had trespassers prosecuted on more than one occasion by showing agents a trail camera picture. If you can find them, those pics will get them ticketed.

SeaPickle, I see that you are located on Waverly Rd. on the OB map from another thread. Are you hunting in or around the Brule? I hunt in the St. Charles Community and the terrain looks exactly like the terrain in your picture. We walk the swamps because that is where we hunt. It is not a cake walk. I can't see anyone taking their family in this terrain on a picnic. Someone has to really have a good reason to want to walk through this stuff. Maybe his intentions are innocent and really doesn't know that he is trespassing all the while helping these youngsters enjoy the wild. However, continue to try to find out who this is so that you know what you are dealing with. Good luck.

633 - I hunted there with my uncle a time or two. My brother got an 8pt. They had blue tongue a few years ago and the deer are just starting to bounce back

Downshift- I'm surprised also. The camera isn't hidden. They seem to be walking with a purpose - Not browsing. Which is what has me confused/concerned. I have another camera on my feeder that is 20 yards to their right. I'm checking it today.

Lxixer- yes I'm in the Brule area. Very tough hunting. This is my only stand on about 2500 acres that you don't need at least hip boots to get to. This part of the lease is very secluded. There is much easier trespassing access to dry woods to brows with his kids. You can't even access this part of the lease directly from the one highway in the area. He's pretty deep in the swamp so it tells me he's been back here before.

I bet when you track him down he tells you his grandfather gave him permission to hunt there years ago before Yall had it leased.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard that story from poachers.

Think I figured it out. That's his medical bag. He is just an old school doctor that took a short cut making house calls. Being the holidays and kids out of school he had to bring them along.

Why does he look like he's dressed for a picnic and the kids are ready for war? Is it so he can backtrack and have the kids stash the guns, ect., if he sees anyone?

Haha he's not going to make it to his patients on time if he is way out here.
All of my screws on my door hinges and lock are still painted so he didn't take them off.
I'm looking at 11 squirrels right now so they suck at squirrel hunting if that was their goal.

kinda looks lost to me...
once found an ole man in the middle of our lease...
I'm thinking he was in there squirrel hunting knowing he was tresspassing...
turns out when I gave him a ride to his truck it was a 15 mile ride to the road he came in on...it was an overcast day and that sob was lost as a goose...
