Even though it's staged, I could imagine the feeling. Kinda like the first deer I killed. Light enough for me to toss over my shoulders.

We learned the hard way you have to spell out exactly what can and cannot be shot to guests that aren't big deer hunters sitting in a stand solo. Even though it's staged, it's probably happened and it would suck to be handed a bill after making a mistake like that

My uncle killed two deer with one shot a few years ago. Went right through a doe into about a year old 8 pointer. Cost him a few grand

I was new to deer hunting on a big lease, and made the mistake of shooting a button buck right at dark. Funny thing is, I saw the same deer that morning and knew it was too small. When dusk hit, everything looked bigger. Texted the lease president (whom invited me) and told him I killed a doe. Got down from the stand and knew I messed up when I slung it over my shoulder I never lived that down. Also, had to write a check for $200
