My brothers,
It seems there is new law in Mississippi where all deer that is leaving the state must be deboned, and antlers detached from skull or they will confiscate your deer. They claimed many of my buddies deer who legally harvested deer in Missouri, they just had to drive thru that shite for a state and still got it taken cause antlers weren't detached.

The law is cwd (stands for some disease) that they think impacts the herd. How is beyond me. But we need to take stand against this foolishness.

Basically if you have 4wheelers and ice chest on the interstate, they are waiting for you

Chronic wasting disease.

How can you hunt and not have heard of this?

A relative of mine just came back from Illinois with 5 deer, one of them a buck, and they got theirs confiscated in Mississippi as well.

Heres the law. Looks like it passed in August. Ms is still currently CWD free, and they are trying to keep it that way.
Arky has similar laws. I have some friends with land in Ks. When they bring deer back to La, they go through Ok.

This happened to us 2 years ago coming home from Illinois passing through Arkansas. Wildlife agent pulled us over on the interstate just because we had ice chests and deer stands on trailer. Gave us a ticket and threatened to confiscate deer.

We started using enclosed trailer and haven't had a problem since.

I did not know about this. I drI've through MS on the way home from Arkansas all the time.

No 4 wheeler and my truck has a backflip, so it's not obvious to them.

Can that disease be transferred just by passing through with a deer in the ice chest?

I doubt that. I think they're worried about the bones being discarded after the meat is deboned.

I have no idea how CWD is transmitted. I think there is a real concern with people disposing of the brain and spine improperly in Ms.

Troy Landry got gotten a few years ago in Arkansas. They took all the heads and meat. He tried the "know who I am?" truck and got a "idgaf" from GW.

They stand on the overpasses on the interstate looking down into the bed of trucks for clues it may be hunters coming from up north and Midwest states.

My dad hunts Nebraska and they are one of those states that have a law that all deer meat in possession must have bone in. This is so they can lay out a tarp and piece a deer together and make sure groups of hunters aren't over their limits. Problem is they pass through other states where you can't have the bone in then re-enter states that require bones in.

Tricky situation
