Wanted to kill 20 on our 632 acres and only killed 3.

My fault for getting the wife pregnant and had my baby boy in late November lol.

We saw quite a few deer though. Buck numbers were good, just not many shooters.

My son got 2 does on our 90 acres in amite county Ms. The bucks we were seeing early were killed by neighbors.

Had a handful of opportunities on does but was waiting on horns that never came while on the stand. We have been overrun with hogs this season. Did manage to put six on them down and in the freezer. Have until February 15th here as well so maybe have time to kill a buck.

It’s all good. That’s just part of having a small piece of property.

Killed the biggest deer I've ever killed on our farm. 172" 11pt. We ended the duck season with a flurry the last 3 weeks. 1,100 birds total. 700 of which came in those 3 weeks. Best numbers we've had since 2011.

Shot 5 does. Saw a few good bucks but didn't get a shot. I didn't get to hunt much this year so I wasn't being patient with the does.

The worst in terms of both quality and quantity in my 30+ years of hunting our place in Nw Jefferson cty. In this day and age, it blows my mind that the hunting can be worse than it was in the early 90s with people shooting everything and hounds running everywhere. Managed to kill a couple does to satisfy the freezer thankfully — the only deer harvested on our place.

Good year. Lots of does and small bucks. Passed on one possible shooter. Haven’t seen him in 2months. Son and FIL killed nice bucks.

Yep. Plenty to do here. Once I get home from work I usually don’t leave until it’s time to go back.

I have access to some land in Jefferson county. To many damn does if you ask me. I hunted with my son youth weekend and we saw 20+ does each of the 3 hunts that weekend. And we hunted last weekend and saw the same thing. Bunch of small bucks running wild.

I hunt around Greenwood, Madison county and Jefferson county.

Greenwood was down some, we didn't see the big deer like we are use to, good group of 3.5-4.5 deer though, the next few years could be good.

Madison county was about what it should be, we had a few good deer killed, my little boy got him a nice one.

Jefferson county has to many deer, I don't think they can support a big deer with as many does as they have.

2 does
1 3.5yr old cowhorn
1 4.5-5.5 yr old 6 point

6 point was my first bow kill. Hit an 8 with the bow but he lived.

I saw the most deer this season in the 6-7 years we’ve had the property.
