Is there an amount of miles per year driven to be aware of? 30k 40k? Was looking at some trucks under 20k and there are some that are 2012 and 95k miles. Is that something to worry about or would I be better getting something older and the mileage was spread thinner? I'm not scared about the 95k btw just the amount per year.

i put over 35K on mine every year but its all highway
it really depends

i change the oil religiously, keep it maintained, and keep it clean. that to me is the biggest factor to look at

I would assume that maybe the newer with most mileage would trend toward highway and the older would trend to city. Is that what you are saying?

Under 5k, I'd be weary. Oddly enough, people who drive >30k per year usually have cars that last the longest (all hwy). I try to buy trucks between 75 and 105k miles because that seems to be the sweet spot in value

I did a little over 25k miles last year. About 18k of it was back and fourth to the boat ramp

that would be typical
i bought a new 2500HD in feb 09 and now have 250K...i cummute from hammond to BR every day, plus drive to camps/etc in south TX, arkansas and morgan city

of that 250K maybe 25 max is within any city limit

you just cant put that kind of miles on a vehicle driving from sherwood to airline

That's what I figured. I plan on buying from a reputable dealer so hopefully the paperwork for maintenance and carfax would be available.

so yall wouldn't hesitate on maybe a 2012 f150 lariat crew with 95k for 19k with proper records and clean?

I'd prefer 4wd but yeah most likely 2wd. For off road we have a ranger and small 4wd tacoma.wife and I commute together in our explorer. Truck would only be for gym and here and theres.

I wouldn't flinch at 19 for a 2012 if it checks out

I'm on pace to put 50k this year on my co truck.

Edit: got it in January, last one I had had over 110k miles and they told me they had to change it out bc it had too many miles for their liking.
