How does one buy a gun online?

Pretty simple actually. Basically, just like on Amazon. That site has a good price. Buy it, check out and you're almost done.

NOW...

They'll ship the firearm to the Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) you designate. The FFL initiates a background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). If no issues, you pay the man his fee and you get your gun. I've done several with no issues.

So I should go to the ffl first. Fill papers. Then order gun?

Rather than just order gun and send it.
I just had a hold last time I bought. Academy wouldn't sell I had to go to a dealer.

It kicks pretty good if you’re not ready for it. A buddy of mine was shooting his AR and then switched to my bullpup. He was use to the AR feel and the bullpup pushed him backwards every time he pulled the trigger. He’s a big guy too, it was pretty funny. Once he set his feet he had no trouble.

I use a small town FFL dealer for my online buys. I call him first to tell him I am buying something and it will come to him. He then says he will contact me when it comes in. The seller (PSA) would send me the tracking info when they send it to the FFL dealer. It is a $20 fee for his work and it takes about thirty minutes to do.

The sites I've used had like a pick list of available FFL you'd chose from based upon your geography. You may or may not know some of them. I just picked the one closest to my house.

FYI, Gun Broker has a search engine. There are others.

When you're purchasing on PSA, you can put in your zip code and it'll give you a list of preferred FFLs in your area. Usually $20-30 for the transfer. You can call the FFL and let them know it's coming.

If you buy from gunbroker or primaryarms, you can just enter the name and address of your local gunshop. After I buy, I usually contact the ffl to ensure they get the request and send their information. Wait a few days and you'll have your new gun.

I'm not a fan of bullpups though.

curious as to why?

I like the compactness but find them ugly as hell but that's not reason enough for me not to want one

Mine came in. Fit and finish is definitely what you'd expect for a $200 gun.

It was covered in crap, so I stripped it down to clean it. Wife (pics on Onlyfans) came home, so I left it on the bench in pieces. Didn't need her to know I bought another gun.

Haven't had a chance to reassemble and run some shells thru it yet.

Wish I could find a drum mag that would work with it.
