Is there anyone in Louisiana that does this? I see it a lot in places like Arkansas, and Oklahoma. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone offer it here.... thoughts?

i did some self-guided lottery hunts with my daughters for ducks on the East Cameron NWR near Creole, LA. Not sure if that is what you are talking about. Otherwise, every hunt that i do on public land is self guided.

Obviously public land

I’m talking as in people who own/lease property allow self guided hunts.

Typically some places who do guided hunts also offer self guided for a reduced price.

I was awarded a lottery hunt in Grand Cote. From what I understand, it'll pretty much be a self guided hunt.

Obviously no one has a clue what I am talking about.

Here is a screenshot from a random guide service in Arkansas to help people understand what I am looking for.

I’m wondering if anyone knows guide services who have daily blind leases?

Ive seen those, but like you said, never in La. Seems like La people are usually a bit different with private property usage than other states.

Cool...that's about 3 minutes from my house. I've never put in for the lottery but I'll probably do it next year.

They set up the blinds so that everyone is shooting in a safe direction. Good luck.

Yeah, I was talking more along the lines of daily blind leases.

I believe I've seen an advertisement on Sportsman for Pecan Island West doing some type of deal where you can either go on a guided hunt or just drive up and pay X amount per gun and it's self-guided..

Where is that? $140/day for a 6 man crew to hunt and lodge in Arkansas?

I might have to make a trip up to Ar-Kansas for that..

140 per guy, so about 850 for your group. Good luck at getting close to 6 limits. I'm sure they're the less desired pits. They're more likely to put the guy who tips and is spending 250 a hunt in one of the better fields. Just my thought.

A farmer down in the Thornwell area done this for about 3 or 4 years back in maybe late 80's early 90's I believe was the time frame maybe mid 90's memory fails me. Went really well but local authorities started in on him about insurance, business licenses, local taxes and so forth and the guy just said the hell with it and leased the whole dang thing to some big corporation each year since.

We did this on a trip to Arkansas some years back...we literally knocked on farmers' doors and politely asked if we could hunt their fields. Their fees were pretty low, had some good hunts.
