Pretty sick with myself. Laid my Combat Elite on top of the cab of my truck while stopping to corral one of my kids. Had my hands full, loading up to go to the camp, set it up there, grabbed my little boy from darting out into the street, the loaded up and drove off forgetting all about it. Noticed it ten minutes later. Drove up and down hwy 1088 and my route in Forrest Brooke subdivision. No sign of it. If you guys see one for sale with black VZ grips and a Wilson Combat mag in it, I would appreciate the heads up. I reported it to the St Tammany Sheriffs office and my HOA. Of course, housewives are freaking out in my hood but I think it was picked up within 5 minutes in the middle of the street. It was during the middle of the day Friday so kids were in school. I feel pretty stupid. It was the first 1911 I bought a few years ago.

Hope you find it. I've never lost a gun, but I've done plenty of stupid stuff absent mindedly that I regretted later.

I live in your hood. Saw your post on the Nextdoor app a couple days ago. I'm sick for you bro. I've been keeping my eyes peeled, looking for it in all the ditches...

Edit: I would think the HOA would have sent out an email alert by now and put all the homeowners on alert. I haven't seen anything yet though.

I would go to the first turn after the last known point where you were coralling your kids. Ive always been impressed with how long items will remain on a vehicle while in straight motion. Cups, phones etc.

Good luck.

I would have thought the HOA would have sent out an email, too. Are you the range officer at Honey Island? Never been out there but have a Gold Cup I've never shot. I need to shoot it soon.

Hopefully if someone did find it they'll return it via the sheriff, etc.
