I wasn’t a huge fan of the cbe three pin I had, but the newer models seem like they may have better pins. With Spot Hogg, HHA, and MBG being made in the USA with great customer service I would lean in that direction if you care about that. Another thing to consider with a sliding three pin is the number of indicators and where your tape is.

This is my MBG, when I’m rolled all the way up, I have a 20, 30, and 40 pin but my indicators are only for the 30 and 40. So when I start to dial down I know where my center and bottom pin will hit.

The new hha sight has 3 indicators that are all adjustable for the horizontal pins, the spot Hogg triple stack is vertical but the same, most vertical dual pins are fixed double indicators like the old spot Hogg double pin. I’m considering trying the dual trac pro to try a vertical pin, the fixed second pin always bugged me.

Beyond that you have to decide if you want to flip your bow to dial on the wheel like hha or spot hogg or if you want to see the tape sight side like the CBE or MBG. For what is worth the HHA max has the smoothest adjustment of any I’ve messed with but that doesn’t really matter, they all track consistently. Another thing, you can change wheels between arrow setups with HHA.

They all seem relatively similar. I think I would prefer the ability to see the markers like on the CBE/MBG.

When it comes to vertical single pin sights, I just don't know if I would like them. I'm assuming you would have to always dial it in to the yardage. I also like being able to see the bottom of the deer's belly being parallel with the sights.

Yeah I agree with the vertical pin thing, that’s why I still have the one pictured.

They are all pretty similar. Spot hoggs are heavier, HHA seem the most refined to me, and MBGs are nice and light and I like their pins the most. There’s honestly only good options. You could add axcel to the list also.

I'm going to Chagg's Saturday to get measured and shite so I plan to look around for a bit. Going to definitely grab me a new release. Probably a Wiseguy.

Let’s talk strings and arrows as well. What’s everyone using right now? Thinking Gas strings and victory vap ss arrows.
Currently using vector arrows but they went out of business and I’m down to only a couple left.

String - I have no clue. I'm sure its the original strings from PSE.

Arrows - Gold Tip Pierce Carbon 300

My current strong choice is a3 archery. I’ve tried a bunch like catfish customs, 60x, ABB, and a few others.

For arrows I use victory rip tkos, or Easton axis 5mm

I’ll run thru all my rig for ya:

Sights:

I had a black gold revenge 7 pin and shot it for several years. It’s a great sight and it’s tough as hell. Pins are brighter than anything I’ve seen. If you are just gonna hunt Whitetails , 7 pin is too many, but BG makes great products. My two cents would be a BG 3 pin of some variety.

I am switching to an Option Archery sight this year. As I’ve hunted more out west, the shots have gotten longer and longer. As I shoot more long distance targets the ability to dial in the pin to an exact distance seems nice and the Option sights can flip the other pins out of the way if you want to and have time to .

I have GAS strings on now, they seem fine to me , but I’ve never really had an issue with any strings.

Arrows:

I shoot Day Six HD arrows now . I like a pretty heavy arrow . Since switching to the heavier arrow things have worked out well for me. Lots of different schools of thought here though. Easton Axis have been around a long time and most would say they are a fine arrow. I’ve heard good things about victory arrows but never shot em.

Hope this helps.

I figured that if I get some really good components that I’ll just swap them over when I decide to fork out the money for a brand new bow. After looking at the price of the new Hoyts and Matthews, it may be a while lol.

Going grab my bow on Saturday. Guy at Chag's said the whole thing was a mess and was surprised I was able to hit something . Can't wait to start back shooting.
