If you look at a gun and it's less than $400 - $500, it's a POS.

I beg the differ

All these was under 400$ & will put them up against anything you got

You got a good deal on a good pistol.

I'm gonna guess it lacks night sights (for me a SD pistol will have 'em), but if you paid $348 out-the-door, it was still a good deal.

I think I paid 500 out the door for mine

ETA: and will likely part with it pretty soon for something bigger and of the wheeled variety

I need one bad, and it will probably be a single action.

I want a double action. I want to care about personal defense. I want to care about concealed carry. I just can't when it comes to handguns. I have a 12 gauge for that.

Gotcha. Truth be told, all of my handguns are for concealed carry. I'm taking dawgs' advice more and carrying larger calibers with larger capacity.

4 5/8 stainless ruger vaquero in .357 is the most likely candidate.

A super Blackhawk 5.5" is close 2nd though. I have a horrible itch for a .44

So shipping and FFL transfer probably totaled another $40-$60.

An 'old' SS Vaquero or Blackhawk in .357 is a heavy gun. Just something to consider.

Have you looked at one of the mid-frame Blackhawks in .44 Special? It is worth handling one before you make your final choice. Nice big bore that feels lively in the hand.
