I'm cool with navigating around gators... in my experience they are pretty skittish, especially when the big motor is cranked up... I've had a few come right up to the boat, no problem, but....

frick that!!!

Holy crap, the most I've ever seen was off hwy 11 in Bayou Sauvage, so I only fish there in Winter now, never Summer.

Not yakin there!

While kayaking at night in Choctaw bayou, we hit a stretch that had between 20-25 sets of glowing eyes in a 75 yard section. Was nervous as hell, but paddled right through them.

Have had them surface and come up under the kayak or just on the side of it. Have stuck my paddle right into the side of a surfacing gator on 2 or 3 occasions while mid-stroke. You have to train yourself not to react and lean away. My kayak is only 21 inches wide so it's very tippy and impossible to re-enter for the water in any quick fashion. You just can't react to hitting one of them.

To be clear; would not paddle the section shown in the video

that is crazy looking...I am not sure why there would be so many in such small water. seems like they would run out of food quickly.

I guessing this could be some sort of theme park or some such where these guys are pinned in...

I will have to see if I can find the video of my brother and 2 of his friends back in mid 90s in Okefenokee. Very similar to this but hilarious at same time listening to his friend that was scared shitless

Correct, I saw someone post the original in the comments section. Clinche County, GA. They said it was a phenomenon of just low water levels, present food source, and a lot of hungry gators.
