Live bait question

I rarely ever fish live bait and when I go on my buddies boat he likes to get atleast 50 shrimp no matter how they are biting. I stick with artificial. I offer to help pay for the shrimp, but he never accepts my money. What's the rule on the boat for everyone on the OB?

if he don't care than neither should you. Especially if you aren't using them. If it bothers you up the gas money a little bit.

We split everything when it comes time to pay. Gas, ice, drinks, beer, bait, etc. However that's with everyone using the live bait. If you weren't using them then I wouldn't bother

Gotcha. If the roles were reversed, I wouldn't make others pay for bait they didn't use.

The rule in my boat is that everyone pays equally, but practically, I always get the shaft because I am too nice a guy when it comes to money.

My rule when going on someone else's boat, the owner doesn't pay for anything. If it is just the two of us I pay 100%, if three of us then two of us split it 50/50.

On my boat we always try to split everything equally but I always come up paying more because a lot of people don't understand what it all takes to go fishing and I'm more worried about getting on the fish and having a good time then being shorted
