I remember watching Keanu Reeves using one of those like a boss in his three gun video.

It could be compared to having a 4th shell in your hand or in a elastic band on the stock of your gun.

You can tell that to the judge after Greenjeans writes you a ticket,

Did any of you who are claiming that it is not legal actually watch the video? The gun is't holding more than three shells. The match saver is a holder for another round on the forend of the gun. no different that a side saddle, just faster.

The OP asked about the match saver, not loading the fourth on the lifter. Obviously that is illegal.

I'm truly interested in hearing your thoughts.

Admittedly, I quick scanned the post, read the replies, saw "fourth round", and didnt click the link. I've called many a folk a dumbass for speaking about something they didn't understand before...I'm certainly well deserving of that title now.

I don't see where this contraption would be illegal...it's not contained within the firearm, and I don't think they could write you for reloading too quickly.

The old SBE's and Benelli Super 90's did it out of the box. I'm not aware of the SBEII, Vinci, or Extremas doing it without some kind of modification.

SBEII, extreme2s, and the new A400 will all do it "out the box" as you say. I'm not sure about the Vinci or super Vinci

I could argue the holding part being vague and that it should be read strictly and against the State.

Is this holding and are these prohibited?
