Random LC for sale

It's about time to get rid of the girlfriends 2004 Avalon. She wants something that will pull a small horse trailer (2 or 3) and doesn't want a truck.

In my mind, these are awesome and 100k isn't a big deal, they last forever. I know there are some LC experts on here. What do you think, is a used LC with 100k on the odometer a pretty fair purchase for 20-25k? Is it enough to pull a few horses, maybe 4k max, comfortably?

100k on CT roads is a deal breaker.

Much better options out there in your price range.

Just did what?

That's just an example of a current LC for sale. It'll be a minute before we buy anything. But I'm not convinced there is a much better option for the money. Also, Toyota is a preference.

She said horses are about a thousand a piece, that's what I'm going with. I think her current trailer only has room for two.

Id guess 2500lbs for trailer and another 1000lbs for gear for three horses. Thats 6500lbs right there.

Looks like I was wrong on the 3 horses. She says 2 is fine. But I think 2500 pounds is probably right from what the first Web page I found said.

So loaded she's looking at about 5k give or take. 2009 LC is rated for 8500 so it's well within its capacities. 3 horse looks like it would be a different story though.

Damn yall must have gotten 3 fluke units.

My brother has a 99 with almost 300,000 and its still chugging along on preventative maintenance.

If I didnt HAVE to have a truck bed, I would have a Cruiser no doubt. The new ones are siiiick

That's a good deal. The only thing I'd worry about is damage from road salts.

The Land Cruiser is the SUV for people who actually know what they're doing.

We bought 3 for sales agents to use to show a masterplanned community back in 2005. In the 3 years I was there it seemed like we were constantly having to take them back to the dealership for repairs.

You sure you're not thinking of Land Rovers?

I would avoid purchasing a Cruiser from the North. Those salt roads are gonna eat that frame no matter what..

Here's one that's close to your price range.. LINK

Those 200s are .

Can't go wrong with a Cruiser man.. got an 80 with 300k and a 100 with 200k miles. They drink gas like crazy but they're awesome.

Not planning on traveling far for anything, maybe Texas. That was just an example.

Anyone ever tow with one?
