Finding a one locally is going to be hard... I've bought 3 and they're all from outta state.

I tow a 5k boat pretty regularly with a 100 series, it handles it well, just not going to win any races..

The 200 comes has the 5.7l so it should be able to handle at least 7k

Seems like a lot of them are out of state, you're right. But something is bound to pop up. I would think anyway.

I believe it's rated for 8500 and I've had 2 5.7s, I figured they had plenty of power.

You are correct. My mistake. I edited my earlier post. Thanks for the correction.

No problem, I was about to say Land Cruisers are perennially praised for the reliability. Land Rovers... not so much

My buddy has a 2008 from CT and it has zero rust, but he takes great care of it. He also doesn't drive it all of the time. That's a great deal on that truck. He's in Colorado right now but that truck may be close to his house. I could ask him to look at for you when he gets home. The guy knows his shite. He currently has a 200 series, 74 series and a 40 series.

The Lexus version comes with a 4" adjustable rear and front suspension.

I appreciate the offer, but she needs to find a job first so I know what we are working with. It'll probably be a few months. When I really get serious, I'll probably text you and get your opinion on specific vehicles.

10-4

The land cruiser community is huge. If you ever need someone to look at one out of state, someone in the community can usually help.

Lol, my buddy already texted me back saying he could look at when he gets home. Good people out there, like on the OB.

The LX570. There are far more of them than Land Cruisers - because when new the price is damn near the same, and more people want the Lexus. Personally I'd rather fly under the radar in the Toyota, but the interiors of the LX570 are so much nicer. They're reportedly just as reliable, even with the hydraulic suspension. I'm in the market right now, it's just really tough to trade in a vehicle with 70k miles for one with 110k.

That's awesome. Appreciate the offer. And you wouldn't have any problem buying one with 100k on it already? I think that's the biggest hangup for her. It sounds so high.

Do it. I'm trying to convince my wife that this is the best route to go. She drives a 4Runner and it's about time for another vehicle. I'd take a LC w/ 100k+ over a brand new GM or Chevy grocery getter.

Seems like there are less of the 570s for sale in my price range than land cruisers...which is already slim pickings

Here
Are
Three
that I have my eye on. The top one lived its whole life in Shreveport before making it to a dealer in Jackson (same story for this LC). I hate that the only LC 200 for sale in town is about $5500k too high LINK. Based on my completely anecdotal research, it seems like within 500 miles of Louisiana the Lexus is more popular, whereas the LC's are concentrated in the NE.

The interiors are really different than the LC. I didn't think they would be that far off. Either way, I'd be happy. Hope I can convince her.
