i'm 47 and in the worst shape of my life, I drink way to much and smoke cigars
after my 1st trip I was sore but that was just bad technique
you can handle it, just need one of these and after you land that 1st big ole red in a yak you're never be the same

My little girl is sick. No chance of me going anywhere this weekend. Especially since I just got back from the Bend.

Probably a little of both. We tried deep, mid depth, shallow, main lake, in coves, off the bluff walls, humps, points, secondary points, ledges....... we couldn't seem to find much bait. Where we did find some bait, we got bites. But not many. And they seemed to hit it and quit it. We caught a few spots. Janky missed one about 5 lbs yesterday morning. Spit the hook about 5 feet from the boat. That was depressing.

Looking at the extended forecast, looks like some consistent cool weather is on the way. Maybe it'll push some bait shallow and fire up the bite.

Did yall stay the weekend or was just a day trip? I've only fished it once but would really like to make it up there for some "pre front" fishing this winter

I think Las' Stop Marina has live shrimp. You may want to call ahead and check.

Thanks baw, I'll check it out. Planning on going try to catch some trout this weekend for the first time without someone bringing me. Unc JD gave me a lot of pointers, so hopefully I can make him proud

My buddy went to the Point yesterday and the water was terrible. He ended catching a bass in shark bayou.
