I'm heading to Henderson in the morning. Think this little cool front moved the bass around?

I had a change of plans, as usual. So I came into work early instead. I plan to go tomorrow morning at daylight, though. Any words of advice?

My plan tomorrow: Chug-bug at daylight, probably soft plastics and cranks, and maybe a jig after that. Going to stick to major points rather than the smaller ones I've been trying and having little to no success

Haven't caught on anything but soft plastics out there in quite a while.

This reminds me, I have depth finder question maybe one of you guys can help me out: My depth finder is still reading the depth, and temp of the water, which is the main reason I bought it, but The screen is blank. Like not blank as in "the screen is going out", but blank in the sense that its not showing any structure, or anything....its just blank, other than the temp and depth readings. What could be causing this? The transducer is obviously still reading depth and temp, but nothing else...

What is your max depth settings?

ETA: Also, what kind of graph is it?

bruh I don't know any of that. All I know is its a Lowrance Hook 4, and it used to work perfect. Then When I went to Lake Martin a few weeks ago it wouldn't read anything but the temp. Then the depth came back on, but never the other shite.

Check all of your connections. There may be some trash in it or a bad connection. It could still read depth and temp and not give you any bottom composition detail.

The only other thing is that it is trying to read beyond the range it's set for. I accidently did that one time. I set the max depth range to 5 feet and thought the sumbitch was broken. I usually just keep it on auto now.

I'll check to see if its on auto depth. Theres no trash in the plugs or anything. I'll fiddle with it a little more tomorrow.

If it's anything other than one of those, I'm at a loss. Maybe a unit malfunction? Is it still under warranty?

That sounds like a good plan. If you fish some drains with shallow water behind it, throw a buzzbait. It's a good shallow water topwater bait. They may still be cruising around the flats chasing baitfish.

Also, since the water is low, try some of those pockets around the Phillips.

Got the Lowrance working properly. All I did was switch the sensitivity to auto and it started working. That must have reset it, because then I turned the auto off and set it how I like. It was good to go.

As far as the fishing goes, I'm terrible. The water is so low, that it seemed like all brush on the banks are three feet out of the water. Took me forever to find what I thought was anything good to throw at.

Once I did, I didnt get a single bite. Chug bug, soft plastic, jig....nothing.

Janky, for reference, thats four trips since you and I went, and I've had had one bite and caught one fish.

To say I'm frustrated would be a slight understatement.

How yall doing at the bend?
