I can live with it. It is my first 1911. It's a custom crimson carry II. Wife bought it for my 40th bday. I'm looking at a Wilson Combat or Nighthawk for my next 1911. I'm new to the 1911 frame. And I must say, I'm hooked. Learning the hard way on a few things, but nothing beats the feel of the 1911

That's not to bad, gonna have to live with it or send it off. The high end 1911s are amazing but I find they sit in the safe. I shoot my cheapest the most as I don't care about destroying it. I'm partial to Wilson Combat but you can't go wrong with the NIghthawk.
If you're new to 1911s try the Checkmate Industry mags, they are awesome. I find their quality to on par with the Tripp cobras. Usually 44mag or Dillon has them in stock.
Also, try some Wilson shock buff (I think they are called that). They are little polymer buffers that can help to prevent frame damage, I would be more concerned about that on the aluminum frame if you plan of shooting it a lot, I mean a lot though.

I have three 10 round checkmate mags. The bodies are really nice but the spring and followers suck. I replaced mine with Wilson spring and follower kits. Now they are super smooth.
