F that. At guy that helps our entomologist killed one today that was pretty impressive. God, I hate snakes.

That reminds me of something glorious.
About 10-12 years ago, my shooting buddy and I went to his FIL's camp to check on things.
The camp was located on a bayou and had a small pond about 100 feet from the bayou. Well, erosion caused the pond to drain out into the bayou and there was a just a bit of water left.
There was a whole bunch of snakes milling around in the pond. We called a couple friends to come over, set up our .22's and went to town on those bastards.
I figure we killed at least 75-100 of them.
As I say, glorious.

One reason for that is everyone kills them as soon as they see them. It seems to be instilled in most people from a young age to kill snakes. Apparently most people think snakes are just hoping to kill you and your family while you sleep. However, bears, which are less common, yet kill and maul far more people than snakes in North America, are cool, and everyone just takes photos of them. Who needs logic, when you can just shout what paw paw told you?

There's a king snake in my garage. He can stay, until the wife sees him. She'll freak out.
