Started deer hunting last year, and never saw a deer from the stand until this morning. Button buck came out around 7:30am, and i dropped him at about 20 yards. I cant post pics, if someone wants, i can email them the pic to post here. My bro in law dumped the gut bucket on me after we cleaned it. Im 31 years old, and couldnt be more excited!

Good job. My first was a button buck too.

The good news you aren't spoiled by shooting a wall hanger first ha.

Congrats. What did you shoot with? I am interested in getting into deer hunting myself; but not sure of best/usual gun practices.

I have a winchester 94ae 30-30 with a cheap arse tasco scope. I was told the 30-30 is perfect for hunting in the woods. And ill tell ya this, i hit him in the front shoulder, and it blew out his opposite side shoulder. He ran about 25 yards and dropped. He wasnt a big boy, but he didnt stand a chance.

There's no feeling like when a deer appears out of nowhere.

Congrats

Congrats homey, and welcome to the club. I have never heard of guts being dumped on someone for their first kill only blood on the face. You hunt with some real assholes.
